On the weekend of September 19th , it was decided to expand the list of persons who are allowed to enter France during the pandemic. Thus, a medical reason appeared in the new declaration. This means that those wishing to receive treatment in France no longer have to go through a special procedure upon requesting an entry authorization document.
Previously, to enter France for medical reasons, it was required to go through the procedure for requesting a pass through the consulate, but the document itself was issued (or not) at the ministerial crisis commission in Paris, which was created to manage the COVID-19 crisis.
Now, those wishing to undergo treatment in France will have to present an invitation at the border issued by the clinic and confirmation of payment for treatment, as well as a completed declaration indicating the medical reason.
It should be noted that the simplified procedure applies to citizens who have a visa or biometric passport for countries with a visa-free regime. For other citizens, it will still be necessary to obtain a visa.
If you would like to undergo treatment in France or in case you have any questions, please send us a request using the side form.
Note - For signs or presence of COVID-19, a person is subjected to a 7-day optional self-isolation.
